Vienna Airport is a major hub for international air traffic and is recognized as one of Europe’s most important aviation centers. Focusing on intra-European routes, it connects numerous destinations in Central and Eastern Europe and offers attractive long-haul connections. In 2023, the airport ranked among the 16 largest in Europe, handling 29.5 million passengers.
To enhance the efficiency of its document creation processes in the tendering process, primeone, in close collaboration with ACP, implemented an automation solution using dox42 and Microsoft Power Automate. The goal was to modernize document creation and seamlessly integrate it into the existing IT infrastructure.
Previously, these processes were manual and error-prone, significantly impairing efficiency. With dox42, the airport now creates dynamic document templates that are automatically and precisely filled with variable data, minimizing errors and maintaining consistently high document quality.
Combined with Microsoft Power Automate, dox42 automates the entire workflow—from document creation to distribution and archiving. Seamless integration into the airport’s SharePoint environment ensures efficient and uninterrupted document generation and management. Training and workshops ensure that all employees are well-versed in the new processes and can effectively utilize the automation.
By implementing dox42 and Power Automate, the airport has reduced the processing time for tender documents by a factor of 5 and significantly lowered the error rate. This automation relieves employees of time-consuming tasks, allowing them to focus on strategically important activities and increasing job satisfaction.
Due to its success, Vienna Airport plans to expand the use of dox42 to other business areas, such as contract management in HR. The integration of dox42 demonstrates how tailored automation can sustainably improve the efficiency and quality of business processes.
