By using dox42 we were able to marry a web application with Office Word technology in an intelligent and trouble-free way
Landratsamt Munich (District Administrator's office) uses dox42 to prepare internal documents and notices for the Department of supervision for day care centers.
All child care facilities in the district of Munich with the respective contact persons and all necessary operating information are stored in a facility management database called IASON (kaptara). This is a web application, through which the employees of the department maintain all necessary information.
The clerks can start document creation in Word on the internal dox42 server via a newly integrated link. The document generated on-the-fly can be viewed and downloaded in either PDF or Word format.
By now we have over 20 document templates that are generated with the help of the dox42 server. The document templates and the corresponding dox42 DataMaps are created either by the specialist-department itself or by the Department of Information and Communication and E-Government.
Since dox42 harmonises very well with our facility management database, the Landratsamt Munich will use the dox42 Excel add-in as next step to implement Excel exports from the database faster and easier.
